Today the HVBA is recognised as an Auckland Council BID (Business Improvement District) with a volunteer committee of nine, consisting of business owners and property owners. The HVBA holds many events throughout the year, the most well known being Midnight Madness. It operates the Howick Village Market, Howick Village Radio and Botany Radio. The strong leadership of the HVBA has seen the development of more promotional activity and community events with the introduction of Town & Country Day, Festival of Wheels, Kiwiana Day, Eastern Inspirations and Best Business Awards. The HVBA continues to remain proactive with conscientious leadership ensuring that innovation and promotional activity will increase.
