THE Howick Quilting Friends group recently celebrated its 10th anniversary and during the festivities there was a display of the neo-natal quilts made by the members. Club member Lyn Duncan says the small quilts are donated to Auckland hospitals for some of the new mothers to take home with their babies. The club held three public shows of its work and from the interest generated it has been able to help another two groups start up in the East Auckland area.
