The shows are arranged by ensembles of APO principal musicians and their colleagues and performed in the acoustics of churches across Auckland. APO cellist Eliah Sakakushev-von Bismark has created a programme including works by composers such as Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, Falla, Villa-Lobos and Bach, among others. Group art exhibition Monterey Art Gallery, 5 Cook Street, Howick Until May 5 MOSAIC is a new group art exhibition featuring work by Jade March, Amber Emm, Sally Fagence and Helena Blair. March is studying towards a master's degree in architecture and is known for creating works that are visually enticing with layered colours. Fagence's sculptural works use glass and recycled pieces of timber from wine barrels that she paints, incorporating gold and silver leaf. Entry is free and all works are for sale. The Dannemora resident has been painting since 1982 and enjoys creating depictions of scenic New Zealand spots including Awhitu on Auckland's west coast and Taupo, and Lake Hawea and the Mackenzie Basin in the South Island. Her exhibition also includes paintings of Rangitoto Island, One Tree Hill and Mt Eden. Entry is free and all works are for sale.
