Westpac awards recognise Times as leading business Bank support crucial part of firm's success From its inception, Times Newspapers Ltd has banked with Westpac Business and 40 years later the paper's managing director Reay Neben acknowledges the value of this strong banking relationship. "When we started out, Westpac was still the Bank of New South Wales and we, as a fledgling company, appreciated the early support and advice given to us by the bank. "Later, when 'the Wales' became West- pac, we had no reason to change. Then, with the development of highly profes- sional business banking sectors and account managers, the Westpac continued to serve us well, lending even further support for our growing business." Mrs Neben adds that it was a credit to Westpac's commitment to customer serv- ice, and the personal relationship fostered with local managers, that the Times had remained a loyal customer for 40 years. "And naturally, we expect Westpac to still be supporting us in another 10 years time when we make the half century!" Westpac business manager, Clare Basire says the bank is committed to building strong and collaborative relationships with its customers to understand their needs and help in their successes.
